Football Dribbling

Chldren will learn how to dribble a football, keeping it under control using light touches on the ball, using different parts of their feet and trying to keep their head up to see what's around them.

Activity 1:

Free Dribble - Football

Method:

  1. Mark out a large area for everyone to dribble around

  2. Give each child a football

  3. Ask children to dribble around the area, trying to avoid bumping into other children

  4. Add in any technical points that you want to

Teaching Points:

  • Keep the ball close to your feet as you dribble using little touches

  • Use different parts of your feet to move in different directions

  • Keep your head up to se where you are going
